Watercolor Process 05

I created another time-lapse “paint with me” video of my evening practice working with mixed media - on this occasion I am using a large Strathmore Mixed Media sketchbook. A bit of experimentation with masking fluid, resist layers with pastels, then collage, onto watercolors, and later even a bit of gesso and acrylic. A lot of random abstract backgrounds, simple mark-making, patiently waiting for pages to dry, collage, and my favorite thing - incorporating song lyrics. It’s all very beginner-friendly, if you are interested in this sort of thing. This was all to experiment with colors + brushes + shapes, and to enjoy the process, of course.
